Although originally from Holland, Michigan, I moved to Northern Michigan in 1999 after graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design. After working for a decade in galleries and as an artist, I decided it would be fun to diversify my portfolio and pursue a degree in science and a career in education. I am currently working towards a masters degree.
My husband (Aiden Misner) and I live on the outskirts of Petoskey and share a home with our two cats. One of our favorite pastimes is international travel. We particularly enjoy heading somewhere tropical in the midst of winter.
In addition to travel, my interests and hobbies include: drawing, painting, pyro-engraving, pottery, stained glass, hiking, running, reading, astronomy, geology, adventure gaming, puzzle-solving, and mathematics.
